This week, Pastor John's sermon was from Jeremiah 31:1-14. The hymns for this week were Psalm 113, "A Hymn of Glory Let Us Sing," "Jesus Paid It All," and "How Deep the Father's Love for Us." The choir's offertory this week was an arrangement of the hymn "Rejoice, the Lord is King."

This Sunday, we were privileged to welcome Simon Arscott to preach in our service. Simon is the minister of All Nations Church in Ilford, England, and his sermon was from Nehemiah 8:1-18. The hymns for this week were "Worship Christ, the Risen King," Psalm 119 (verses 1-12), "I Will Sing of My Redeemer," and "Every Promise." The choir sang the hymn "Come, Ye Faithful, Raise the Strain" for the offertory.

In our unique Good Friday service, we combine passages that tell the story of Christ, from his arrest to his death, with singing passages from the psalms that point to or are referenced by Jesus during his crucifixion. The Covenant choir and handbell ensemble are also featured, and Pastor John brings a sermon from Psalm 22.
