Sermons

This week's service featured the sermon "What Is Your Life," part of Dr. John Clayton's sermon series through the book of James. The hymns for this week were "All Glory Be to Thee, Most High," "Our God, Our Help in Ages Past," "How Deep the Father's Love for Us," and "Be Thou My Vision." In addition, this week's offertory was "O Worship the King," performed on the bagpipes by church member Lee Krehbiel.
This week's sermon featured the sermon "Patient Perseverance," from James 5:7-12 by Dr. John Clayton. The hymns for this week were "We Gather Together," Psalm 37 (verses 1-5), "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing," and "Be Still, My Soul." In addition, the choir sang the hymn "I Was a Wandering Sheep" for this week's offertory.
This week's service kicked off our church's Holy Week observances this year, and featured the sermon "Life in the Local Church," the conclusion to Dr. John Clayton's sermon series through the book of James. The hymns for this week were "All Glory, Laud, and Honor," "O Thou That Hear'st When Sinners Cry," "Psalm 130 (From the Depths of Woe)," and "Thy Mercy, My God." In addition, our choir sang the "Ride On, Ride On in Majesty for this week's offertory.1

For this year's Easter service, Dr. John Clayton preached the sermon "Worthy is the Lamb," from Revelation 5:1-14. In addition, both the choir and handbell ensembles performed as part of the service.
This week's service featured a sermon from Matthew 1:1-7, the beginning of a new sermon series by our pastor, Dr. John Clayton through the Gospel of Matthew entitled Kingdom Come. The hymns for this week, the second Sunday of Easter, were "Worship Christ, the Risen King," Psalm 89 (verses 1-4, 28-37), "Hail to the Lord's Anointed," and "Every Promise of Your Word."
This week's service, the third week of Easter, featured Dr. John Clayton's sermon, "Sovereign Salvation," from Matthew 1:18-25, part of his sermon series Matthew: Kingdom Come. The hymns for this week were "Alleluia! Alleluia!," Psalm 121, "All Glory Be to Thee, Most High," and "O Father, You are Sovereign."
This week's service, the fourth Sunday of Easter, featured the sermon "A Call to Worship" from Dr. John Clayton, part of his sermon series, The Gospel of Matthew: Kingdom Come. The hymns for this week were "Lift Up, Lift Up Your Voices Now," "All People That on Earth Do Dwell," "Beautiful Savior," and "As with Gladness Men of Old."
This week's service featured the sermon, "Ordinary Providence," part of Dr. John Clayton's sermon series The Gospel of Matthew: Kingdom Come. The hymns for this week were "Christ the Lord Is Risen Today," Psalm 146, "Jesus! What a Friend for Sinners," and "Commit Now All Your Griefs."
